The Women’s Alliance harnesses the power of women and their allies in the pension, investment and legal communities.

The Women’s Alliance was founded to deepen the roots, and cultivate the untapped potential, of the female investment and legal communities in the U.S. and beyond. We believe that by expanding and strengthening this network, we will create new opportunities for capital flow to women- and minority-owned investment firms, as well as supporting the development of impact and sustainable investing strategies, and highlighting the vital role women-led legal teams serve in this movement. The Women’s Alliance is committed to leading and influencing the development of professional DEI principles, and through this work, we seek to inspire increased mentorship – while enhancing the ability to attract and retain talent throughout these industries. We believe in strength in numbers, and by working together with our allies, we are best positioned to achieve these important professional goals and to realize a new generation of accomplishment and growth.

The Diversity
Investing Symposium

The Diversity Investing Symposium is hosted annually by the Women’s Alliance of Saxena White. Bringing together trailblazing women and their allies worldwide to network and share market expertise, the Symposium helps to bridge the gap between asset allocators and diverse managers and seeks to increase awareness of diverse management opportunities, while highlighting the economic and social impact of investing in women-and minority-owned firms. Each year, the Symposium is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion through the profiles of the distinguished speakers representing the pension, investment and legal professions and has expanded to include insightful discussions around the issues of sustainable and impact investing. The Symposium also serves to create opportunities for mentorship, collaboration and support – with, and for, each other.

Marisa DeMato, one of the industry’s leading advocates for institutional investing in women and minority-owned firms, has nearly two decades of experience advising and representing pension funds and other institutional investor clients on securities fraud and corporate governance issues in the U.S. capital markets. As Chief Diversity Officer and Chair of Saxena White’s Women’s Alliance, Marisa has a record of commitment to DEI, including previous work co-chairing an annual women’s initiative forum recognized by Euromoney and Chambers USA for its impact as a top diversity program.
