When Saxena White has the opportunity to give back to our community, we literally run with it. On March 4, 2023, in our hometown of Boca Raton, Florida, Saxena White participated in the Spirit of Giving Network’s Community Spirit Race 5K & 1 Mile benefitting a wide range of nonprofit organizations in our community. We were very pleased to have the opportunity to support such an important array of charitable initiatives alongside so many other members of our community. Our team attends this event annually as part of our continued efforts to support and promote diversity.
The Spirit of Giving Network is a collaborative, nonprofit organization that creates alliances with other nonprofit organizations by sharing resources and providing education to strengthen our communities. For more information on the organization, please click here.
Continuing our support for Dress for Success, Saxena White has made it an annual tradition to sponsor a table at the Dress for Success “Style for Hope” Luncheon in West Palm Beach, Florida. Celebrated on International Women’s Day, the event is an inspiring afternoon of fellowship and empowerment while enjoying a luncheon and powerful guest speakers. Saxena White guests include other local women-in-business from South Florida.
Saxena White’s Environmental Working Group embraces environmentalism and believes in maximizing the care with which we treat our planet. We routinely volunteer at our local beaches in an effort to clean up the marine environment. Most recently, our San Diego office participated in a beach cleanup at in Solana Beach, California. We love giving back to our local communities and look forward to doing our part to keep all of our beaches clean!
To help educate elementary school students about marine preservation, Saxena White has sponsored local non-profit Boca Save Our Beaches in its development of an interactive workbook, titled Seymour’s First Journey into the Sea of Debris. The workbook, which has been used by educators across Palm Beach County, follows the story of a seahorse named Seymour who embarks on a lesson about marine debris. The workbook has been distributed to elementary students at participating schools to further environmental education across the Palm Beach County school system. Jessica Gray, the founder of Boca Save Our Beaches, presented copies of the workbook to members of the Firm.
As a certified woman-owned business, Saxena White strongly believes in empowering women in the workplace. Saxena White’s Diversity Committee has regularly partnered with Dress for Success of the Palm Beaches, a local chapter of the national non-profit organization, for various events. The mission of Dress for Success is to provide professional and personal development services to aid women in becoming financially independent, achieve gender equality, and break the cycle of poverty. Each year, we host a ‘Check Your Purse’ charity drive. Members of our Firm collect new and used purses and fill them with donated personal items and monetary gifts.
